Once a year Disability Snowsports UK put on their annual Skiathon and the Ski Club of Manchester where there to show their support.
The theme for this year was the Olympics and SCOM from a draw got Team Australia and in Aussie Style dressed up as Kangaroos. Every year the Ski club of Manchester take part in this event and this year they raised a fantastic amount for DSUK.
The Ski herd consisted of John Weatherell, Louise Cosgrove, Malcolm Uttly, David Gould, Jonathon Reeves and Richard Mayers. In the afternoon Liz Beattie replaced David who had to "retire" for work reasons.
The skiing expertise of Club Members came to the fore when on the hour marks we were well ahead in the number of runs but lagged a little on the "Quiz" questions. Although for extra marks Rik Mayers was outstanding on the piste dance floor!!! Louise did a fab job in the singing contest.
After a long day skiing the Teams retired to Costa Coffee for the Prize giving where Team Australia won THE BEST DRESSED, the prize being a Team Paintball Session!
Well done guys on raising money for a great fund and the best dressed!
