The Ecrins Lodge offers catered of self-catered holidays for those who love to ski and snowboard. Les Deux Alpes is a fun, not too expensive, family resort with something to offer all ages and abilities. Beginners can enjoy the sheltered slopes directly in front of the resort, as well as experiencing the best snow on wide green and blue runs at high altitude above 3000 meters on the glacier. The intermediate skier can enjoy a great deal of perfectly maintained wide blue and red runs. The expert skier has a selection of challenging black runs as well as world class off-piste in Les Deux Alpes and over in La Grave.

The resort is world renowned for its quality of ski and snowboard parks. These are designed for the novice skier with small bumps, hits and rails, all the way to an Olympic standard half-pipe and board-across course.

Our location means that the trip over to Alpe d'Huez is also very simple, where you have the opportunity to spend two of your days for free on a six day ski pass.

Our chalet features five modern comfortable bedrooms (4 en-suite) that can be set up in double or twin bed formation. A large living/dining room with breakfast bar, honesty bar, wide screen television, UK sky television, Nintendo Wii, wireless Internet, board games, DVD and MP3 docking stations. The kitchen is very well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven 5 burner gas hobs, fridge freezer, and bread maker. We have a separate heated ski & boot storage room with a washing and drying machines.

One of our double/twin rooms is actually a self-contained studio attached to the chalet, but accessible form outside. This can be rented separately, or works well for a couple who want a little more privacy. It has its own bathroom, kitchenette, sofa and UK freeview television.

The chalet is located in a very quiet hamlet surrounded by glacial streams and pine forests. This location does not suffer from the late night noise associated with properties found in the center of most resorts.

Catering and service are what we have become best known for. As owner and chef, who has been in the catering industry for over 15 years, I take real pride looking after our guests and in the standard of home produced meals. Our menus vary from week to week reflecting the change in seasonal produce and I try to showcase the best from our region as well as cuisine from around the world. I often chat with guests during the week to gauge their culinary preferences so I can plan my menus. Meals for children and special dietary needs are no problem.
