Paradiski area was formed in December 2003 when Les Arcs and La Plagne saw the joining of the two resorts via the Vanoise cable car. This double decker can hold a total of 200 people and can with stand strong winds thanks to its design.
The journey can take less than four minutes moving around 2000 skiers and snowboarders per hour. The linking of the 2 resorts now means you can ski 425km of pistes. You can also find all types of runs to suite everyonel and if you’re a beginner you will find plenty of greens and blues. For those seeking some more challenging runs or off piste there is definitely no shortage of that. On the Les Arcs side at the Aiguille Rouge you will find some of the best fresh powder in the area.
Skiing takes place between 1200 metres and 3250 meters above sea level facing the Mont Blanc mountain range. In total there are 160 lifts and you will find 70% of the skiing above 2000 meters, which gives the Paradiski area a fantastic snow record.
You will find a selection of villages spread across the Paradiski, from purpose built villages in Les Arcs to La Plagne Center. You will also find traditional villages like Plan-Peisey or Vallandry on the Les Arcs side and Montchavin and Les Coches over in La Plagne.
Accommodation, there is plenty from hotels to stunning self catered apartments. You will also find this area popular with the catered ski holiday concept with lots of companies providing this type of accommodation. Paradiski area can be reached via a short transfer either from Chambery or Geneva.
