Description:

La Plagne Montchavin and Les Coches are  situated like its big sister La Plagne 1800 in the Tarentaise valley, the village makes up the ski area of La Plagne. Being part of La Plagne also means that this area is connected to the Paradiski area with a total of 425km of ski runs.

One of the greatest advantages of staying in Montchavin is that you have direct access via the Vanoise Express to Les Arcs, a fantastic base to explore the Paradiski area.

The lift itself is a 4 minute journey and can take around 2000 skiers per hour. Built in 2003 the lift is expected to work is some of worst windy conditions so no need to worry about being stuck over on the other side of the valley

La Plagne Montchavin is an old farming village and still retains that feel, a car free centre, with a nice selection of bars and restaurants. Though this is one of the lowest villages in the area it is still possible to ski back down to the village right through to April.

Les Coches is situated around 250 meters up the hillside from Montchavin and it also shares its slopes. A modern little village again with a car free centre.

With 425km of skiing you will find a run for everyone, we recommend hiring a guide and exploring some of the off piste that the Paradiski area  has to offer.

If you are looking for more ski chalets then the apartment blocks of La Plagne 1800, this is a great place  to base yourself. You will find a fantastic selection of catered ski chalets and self catered properties.

La Plagne is also the only place in France to let you experience an Olympic bob sleigh ride with 19 bends, what a thrill!!!
