Description:

The valley of Peisey is a real puzzle to where all the names come from, so we will not bore you with the history just yet.!

Peisey is part of the massive ski area Paradiski which links the two resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne with a total of 425km

The valley is made up of several villages starting with Landry at 800m which you could say is the gate way to the valley. The chief town of Peisey can be found at 1350 with a televillage linking you to Plan Peisey at 1650m. From here you can access the main hub of the Les Arcs ski area or jump on the Vanoise Express cable car to La Plagne.

Opened in 2003 this double decker cable car can hold 200 skiers and transports you in around 4 minutes to the otherside. The lifts operate between the villages of Plan- Peisey and Montchavin. The lift really opens up the area for the skier and snowboarder.

At 1600m sits Vallandry which is the ski station of the village of Landry who decided to build up the mountain a little, from here you get great views of Mont Blanc. There is a ski lift in to the main ski area from here, and finally Nancroix at 1400m. Nancroix has no direct link into the area, but with a short hike you could be at the lift just above the village centre.
There is a run to suite all types of  skiers or boarders, plenty of beginner runs to challenging off piste from some of the highest summits.

Each of this villages offer a lot of charm and a friendly atmosphere, nice shops, bars and a good choice of restaurants.
