If you asked a Brit to name 3 ski resorts, you can be sure ski resort of  Val d’isere will be one of them. Situated further up the road from Tignes at an altitude of 1800m, the resort offers you fantastic skiing and a stunning village that matches. Val d’isere along with its neighbour Tignes forms the Espace Killy with over 300km of amazing skiing and some of the best off piste.

The 300km of the Espace Killy has something to suit all levels of skiers and is ideal for all today’s various snow sports. High altitude, exposure and just the large size of the area allows the visitor to ski in the sun all day long, without having to take the same slope twice.

The ski area has  two glaciers, tons of  snowfalls and 60% of its slopes situated over 2200m, the snow is of an excellent quality and the season lasts until early May providing excellent spring skiing conditions. Val d’Isère offers free slopes for beginners, a pedestrian ski pass to admire the breathtaking scenery from the summits as well as cross country slopes and snow shoe outings in the mountains to enjoy the stunning  Vanoise National Park.

There are two snowparks for freestyle enthusiasts and the virgin snowfields of the Vanoise are easily accessible to freeriders. There’s something for everyone here, the trip back down to the resort may also be made via one of the cable cars and thanks to the perfectly interlinking ski lifts it’s easy to follow in the tracks of Jean-Claude Killy over the 300 km of marked slopes without having to walk a step.

The village itself is traditional and full of charm, stone cladded buildings, luxurious shops and fine dining restaurants ,  fantastic range of catered ski chalets and apartments can be found here.
