In winter, is there anything better than being so close to the slopes?
In the morning you walk 5 minutes and say hello to the big white wave and in the afternoon, after a great day of skiing, you just stop in front of your own terrace. No hassle, just big fun. It is only a couple of minutes skiing down the hill to get to the main hub for ski lifts and ski schools. Les Crosets is on the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil, which is, with its 650km of ski network, the biggest skiing domain in Europe.

In summer, you can go exploring the extensive hiking trails or saddle your bike and head out for the 580km of marked trails, Europe's largest mountain bike domain with 24 lifts and 9 permanent downhill and free-ride runs (regular host of the Swiss Mountain Bike Championships).
Chalet Carioca is beautifully located, nestled up next to the slopes of Les Crosets, a hamlet of chalets on 1850m altitude, offering a breathtaking view of the Dents du Midi and the majestic mountain scenery of the Swiss Alps.

Being nestled up in the hills means being remote from a center - the tiny village of Les Crosets with its little supermarket, some bars, few restaurants and a chapel is a 5-minute drive away. For fancy shopping, great restaurants and nightlife you would have to go to Champéry, which is a 20-minute drive away.
After heavy snowfall, Chalet Carioca's location in the big white might mean climbing difficult tracks. Therefore, a 4x4 car or chains are recommended.

The interior decoration of Chalet Carioca is luxurious and warm, with a lot of rustic family owned antiques, silver cutlery, fine china - a sophisticated, well-equipped family home.

Chalet Carioca is self catered but a chef can be hired. He will come 'sur place' and you can discuss with him the formula that suits you best - one meal or daily cooking, he is at your disposition!
