Samoens

Samoens ski resort is located around 800 meters above sea level in the beautiful and stunning Vallee du Giffre in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps. The village has been labelled as one of the prettiest villages in the whole of France. This is a true dual resort attracting as many winter visitors as in summer.

The resort is part of the Grand Massif ski area made up of Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt, in this area you will find a total 265km of very well groomed pistes.

From the edge of Samoens you can summit to 1600 meters via the Grand Massif Express, from here you can gain access to the main ski area that is on offer.

The village has a lot to offer, not only from its beauty but a varied and great selection of restaurants, shops, and bars. A firm favourite with families, there is plenty to keep you occupied, you will even find a cinema showing films in English.

Samoens is especially famous in the summer time with keen road bikers who come here to ride the Joux Plane which features on the Tour de France. Be prepared this is a tough ride up and over into Morzine.
